Compassion Fund was established as a programme under MILK (Mainly I Love Kids) Fund in April 2006.
Over the years, we have reached these milestones:
228 children helped (72% from primary & secondary schools)
Apr’06 – Mar’07: 64 applications (47 families helped)
Apr’07 – Mar’08: 31 applications (24 families helped)
Apr’08 – Mar’09: 31 applications (23 families helped)
School participation in Share-A-Meal:
2006: 92 schools
2007: 112 schools
2008: 78 schools
2009: 59 schools
Established as a Company Limited by Guarantee in March 2009
What Compassion Fund logo means
Depicting 3 human characters arm-in-arm, side-by-side, it conveys the idea of helping each other. This reiterates that the act of compassion can go a long way, and those that have been helped will in turn help others.
