On 23rd February 2011, 51 schools, 27 PAP Community Foundations, 7 Police Divisional Headquarters / Departments, and 15 corporates and organizations participated in our annual fundraising event Share-A-Meal. During the event, children and adults are encouraged to “share-a-meal” with the less privileged, by donating the cash value of their meal on that day.
This year, Share-A-Meal is privileged to have the continued kind support of the Singapore Police Force with 7 of their Land Divisions helping to label, distribute, collect and count almost 1,600 collection tins islandwide. This massive effort was once again spearheaded by the Ang Mo Kio Police Division, who counts 2011 as their 7th year of volunteerism. With the kind support from partners and donors, a net total of $149,863.25 was raised.
